AM General Torque

Torque wrenches are connected to via Winsock objects and communicated with via Atlas Copco's "Open Protocol". Jobs are tracked for an OK signal. If no Job OK is received when work reaches a fixed position stop, the work in station in automatically halted. Operator completes job or can override stop with supervisor approval. Cimplicity HMI is used to interlink between the Visual Basic programs via OPC and line PLCs via TCP/IP, and to provide a user interface for operator control and display.
